Kaira's Style Diaries

Hope you’ll enjoyed going through my very random and fun Thai experience! BTW Can you’ll believe year 2016 is almost coming to an end. December is here with beautiful misty mornings and holiday season. There are going to be endless parties in December from pre Christmas parties to major New Year parties to just chilling around because people that’s what Holiday season is for.

Ok anyways coming back to why I am actually writing?? After watching Dear Zindagi, I see everybody sharing JUG’s heavy philosophical dialogues, or his or her favourite scene’s clipping or how much he or she loved SRK and Alia in the film, but for me nothing worked at all. It was not of the fabulous movies for me to remember but it was surely one of those movies that gave us some fabulous fashion and styling ideas through Kaira aka Koko.

Yes the clothes were basic, but the way they were paired and styled was pretty cool. The key to Kaira’s style is light layering and being carefree. Long or light shirts over camis to just boho maxis or to just a simple cape style top with messy carefree hair gave us some serious simple style goals, sans all the cakey makeup and bling, loved the natural look and the fact she had her eyeliner on for very few special moments like a regular girl.

So we tried on a few looks and took a few elements from Kaira’s wardrobe and created five looks for you’ll which you all could surely try out, with these simple separates, which are there in our wardrobe, or if planning to shop for this holiday then you know what to buy.

The Denim Diaries and Tassel Tales.

Love the denim on denim pairing, simple and classic and that Tasseled bag which was pretty constant throughout the film. We can wear this look almost anywhere, to work, for movies or just a casual day out.

The Shirt Cape.

Wear Shirt as the second layer, be it long or short, wear it almost like a cape. Pair it with your tank tops or dresses and short or jeans, will work for all.

The Kurta T-shirt

This top when I saw it in Zara , me and my sister both picked it up one each, marsala color and white. We loved the fact it was a cool Kurta cum cape cum long t-shirt. And here comes Kaira wearing the same one in Navy color and we loved it, so we recreated this one for you'll.

Pleated Date Night Skirt.

I cant get the right picture, but in the song Tu hi hai, Kaira is seen wearing a halter top with a gold pleated skirt(The same she wore for Global Citizen). I guess gold was a bit much for me, but of course who love the look can wear it as it is, but I tried on the same silhouette in much more subtle way.So girls next time you go on a date you know what to wear.

The Maxi Dress cum Top.

We loved when she wore those maxi dresses in the film, but we also know that wearing those gets a pain in the urban lifestyle, so we got a Maxi top with long slits, pair it with shorts or your perfect pair of jeans and you are good to go.

I guess these looks have pretty much given all the girls an idea you don't need to have that perfect hair or contoured makeup and minimalism is the key to look beautiful. Try these out for your next outing and I am wearing one of these easy looks and heading for Kahaani 2 , will share the details on Sunday, till then have a great weekend guys.
