Dilwalon ki Diwali.
Hey folks, with just one week left for Diwali, we all are
literally out and about, buying gifts for all, shopping for new clothes,
jewelry, diyas etc., planning Diwali parties, cleaning houses, or maybe a
travel plan is in making the list is literally endless. We already start
planning our schedules way in advance because there is always so much to do! We
all have frenzied timetables during that week, but in our wild schedules we
never forget to add one thing?? Any guesses guys???
Let me tell you…
Our Bollywood Films.
It’s that time of the year again when the year’s
Blockbusters release. Diwali as a festival has always held a special place in
every one’s heart, be it the audience who goes to cinema or the filmmakers who
give us films to watch it with family and bond. With every year passing by the
magnificence of the films releasing during this time is only rising. Even the
trailers and teasers of upcoming movies are being released during this season,
thus leading to maximum amount of Buzz.
Indian cinema not only gives us the grandeur in the films
releasing during Diwali but also in past has showed us ways on how to
celebrate, one of the biggest festivals of the country. With grand palaces and
houses lit up with dozens and dozens of stunning diyas to mind blowing genda
phool décor, stunning diwans set for the guests, too royal, right?
Here is the list of Top five films that portrayed the
festival with much love and splendor.
1. Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
2. Mohabbattein
3. Aisha
4. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander
5. Shaitaan
We all remember that scene, when the Raichands are
celebrating Diwali, dancing, poojas, stunning art direction and striking attires,
giving us some serious festive goals.
One of the biggest problems we face during this season is
what to wear? Either people are splurging in over priced Designer wear or
budgeted people just go to the mall and pick outfits for the whole family from
one store. But it’s the same old Kurtas and most of the men don’t even end up
buying anything as they just wear those regular shirts or t-shirts.
Girls I know we all want to look amazing just like aisha in
the film and want our partners and brothers to be in those silk or Khadi kurtas,
for those Diwali parties but we all have budgets and can’t overspend.
This time we have joint hands with some amazing designers and have
curated looks we can adorn during this festive season with ease. Its designer
wear with much needed attention to detailing and is in budget.
Scroll down to reveal
some super cool and fun Diwali looks.
LOOK 1.1.
Ajay is all set for Diwali pooja in Jiya by Veer Design's Royal blue Silk kurta with Red Textured Long Nehru Jacket and a gold striped pathani. Not just that you can get a pair of custom Juttis to team with your outfits.
LOOK 1.2.
Guys don't want to go a typically Indian route?? There is a solution to that as well, Pair this Silk kurta with Jeans, roll up your sleeves and your good to go. Pair this much simpler look with their embroidered Juttis to amp it up.
This not so traditional tangerine kurta paired with classic gold churidar and embroidered mojris is the easy peasy look. Love the fabrication on the kurta and that little sneak peak of brocade just gives the right amount of Indie touch. You can get this amazing complete look from Jiya by Veer Design Studio (Mumbai).
The Navy and Beige Printed jacket and pallazo set with stunning floral detailing is on top of my must -haves list as its not so heavy like those usual outfits we tend to runaway from. Paired the look with these beautiful Tasseled elephant earrings and these Gold hand painted super comfy juttis.
LOOK 2.
Want a little bling added to your outfits , then these separates are perfect for those special get togethers. The Ox blood striped Appliqued Long Tunic paired with gold skirt is super breezy and comfortable. The Elephant Tasseled Earrings , Hand Harness from Rejuvenate jewels and these Mustard gold floral hand painted Jutti Meri Juttis gives the perfect contrast to the outfit.
LOOK 3.
Don't want to over splurge on complete outfits then go for this perfect Sand colored tunic with bright orange and gold geometric applique work, almost reminding me of those colorful rangolis we make during the festival. Teamed it with my ankle length jeans. Wearing Coin earrings and Elephant Hand Harness. The black juttis with gold and red hand painted daisies complete the look.
I saved my favourite one for the last. Love love love this unconventional lehenga from Ruvya. The color combination, silhouette and the detailing with gold applique work sums up to be the perfect Lehenga for this Diwali. Wore the coin earrings and Headband with the Lehenga. These coin earrings takes me back to my mom's gold coin earrings she bought it during diwali years back, it brings goodluck apparently. Cant afford those gold earrings but can surely get these for this Diwali. And last but not the least the black ghungroo Juttis took my look a notch higher.
