Bollywood Boys.

Sorry boys my past few posts have been focussing on women’s style and trends inspired by our gorgeous Bollywood heroines and didn’t give any attention to you’ll. But not to worry, finally this time my post is all about the Boys. 

It’s a myth that only girls want to splurge on some designer goodies, I guess with the time changing be it girls or guys we all want to spend some bucks or splurge to look worthy and attractive wherever we go. So many brands, so many styles and every brand has their own sizing! But how do we know what to buy and what will suit us????? I guess every guy faces this question whenever he goes out shopping!! But who has the answers for these questions??Not to worry guys this time cine closet is here to your rescue.

I have made a quick list of 10 must – haves in your wardrobe inspired from the style of our drool worthy heroes in the films. Follow this quick list and you could look as good as maybe Kabir in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani or Kabir in Dil Dhadakne Do (I suppose Its one of the favorite names in Bollywood). 

Anyways here is the List.

#1 The Basic Tee.

Be it Crew(Round) neck or V-neck Jersey T-shirt, this is one of the essentials in your wardrobe available almost everywhere from Zara to a regular Indian Fashion store like Westside. The more colors the merrier but just a black and a white t-shirt in either of the styles will do. What better inspiration than our very own Current Style Hero Ranveer Singh who wore these basics in the film Dil Dhadakne Do. Wear it with any Colored Chinos or Jeans, Layer it with a Shirt or a Jacket or maybe just the classic t-shirt, its a no-brainer and its always going to work! But please don't commit the crime of wearing it way too tight, always be in your comfort fit.

#2 Hybrid of the Basic tee: Henleys.

Let me define Henley for you guys, it's basically a full sleeves button down t-shirt half way through, almost like a Hybrid of the Basic tee. Our King Khan of Bollywood swears by this style of the t-shirt. He is not only seen wearing henleys in all his recent movies but also in his recent casual outings and movie promotions. Henley actually works for any body type considering the fit of the tee. With those two buttons down it looks extremely sexy boys and again is available in all colors, but navy and blacks look the best.You can get the best henleys at either H&m or Zara.

#3 The Casual Checks

Gone are the days when we only saw boring corporate checked shirts. Our very own hero Ranbir Kapoor has redefined checked shirts for us in our favorite film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. Roll-up the sleeves and wear it with a ganji or the basic tee , Wear it over a henley or under a leather jacket, Bright Bold Checks are always going to work. And for all you broad Guys like our hero Arjun Kapoor, its the best way to layer it and flaunt you assets! Checked shirts in all colors and all sizes are available in all the stores. But I personally love to source checked shirts from Jack N Jones when I am styling any actor as their checks are pretty cool and fabric is skin friendly, value for money package.

#4 The Jeans

Ripped or Regular, Anti-fit or Skinny , all our heroes love wearing jeans. A good pair of Jeans is the most versatile piece in your wardrobe. But which better actor to redefine the style of jeans than Akshay Kumar. Once the brand ambassador of the classic jeans brand LEVIS ( the brand that came up with denim). Akshay Kumar can carry all kind of jeans and make it work in all types of movies be it heroic movies like Gabbar and Baby or Rom-Coms like Houseful, he has different pairs for different films. I don't think I need to share with you'll from where to buy the right pair of jeans. I know you all have jeans, pair it well, get the right attitude and you are good to go.

#5 The Chinos

Chinos are the Semi-Formal version of the old-school Formal trousers. Very few people are seen sporting Chinos in the films. Varun Dhawan can make Chinos work in any film be it Main Tera Hero or Badlapur or Dishoom. A basic color like Khaki or an offbeat color like Pink, the heartthrob of all young girls knows how to woe women with his unique style sense. Brownie points to his stylist for some unique pairing of the separates. Guys if you don't own a pair of Classic Chinos yet go buy it now, works best for many occasions like Parties, Dates, Casual Office Outings or the Friday Dressing. Again available at all kinds of stores, depending on which suits you the best!

#6 Let's Suit Up.

I guess the most sexiest thing our Heroes wear!!! Uffff how amazing do they all look in a classic Black Suit, be it with a white shirt or a Black shirt, Tie, Bow-tie or no tie , guys you can never go wrong with a well fitted black suit! If you think the  Ready suits available in the stores are too expensive and don't fit you too well, in India we have masterji (Local Tailor) to our rescue, they always have fabric for a basic black suit readily available with them and the best part is they can custom make for you at a very reasonable rate. Easy right??? So what are you waiting for go get one right now!

#7 The Pathani

With Festive and wedding season just around the corner , I am so sure all you guys have to attend at least one big fat Indian wedding with some 5 functions. Please don't wear just chinos and a pair of formal shirt everyday. I know those weirdly fitted Churidars are not comfortable for you guys at all. But still you'll can put an extra effort and still be at your ease by wearing a Pathani Suit. Be it Sangeet song in the film or playing an actual role of Pathan, be it classic blacks, navies or the new ice blues, be it off beat rustic or shimmery sequins, our heroes in Bollywood have managed to fit this silhouette well in their wardrobes and in no time converted it into a trend. Wear it with the classic lace-ups and take your Pathani look a notch higher. Custom make it or you can buy it as separates from stores like Fabindia and Manyavar.

#8 The Shoe Story

The two classic pair of shoes which all our heroes swear by our the old school Lace-ups in either Black or brown and a pair of good sneakers. Lace-ups work the best for all the formal looks guys be it under the suits or just with Chinos and a shirt. Sneakers are now kinda breaking boundaries. Our heroes are not only pairing the regulars or the high-tops with jeans or joggers, they are also experimenting them with a blazer or a Suit. Guys you don't need to own 10 different pairs of shoes, one good sneakers and a Lace-ups and you are good to go. Always do remember one thing girls make shoe contact before eye-contact! *winks*

#9 The Aviators

With over 100 types of Sunglasses available in the market, one can't own all the styles! Then how do we know which sunglasses will work the best with all???Our Bollywood films definitely have this question answered right for us.-"The aviators". The classic Rayban aviators have never gone out of trend and works with almost each and every person regardless of the age and each every look. Be it our Dabangg Pandeyji or Don in Tamasha, Rowdy Akshay Kumar or College going Sidharth Malhotra in student of the year and wait how can I miss Major Samar Anand in Jab tak hai jaan with that army uniform. Nailed it!

#10 The New Accessory: Scarf.

Scarves have always been type casted for girls , I barely see any guy experimenting with the coolest current trend. I personally love the guys who wear scarves and I guess all the Bollywood heroes agrees with me on this one! That's why all our heartthrobs are experimenting with cool new accessory. Checked or Striped, Bright Print or Monochromatic, around the neck or head, in all the variants tried, it looks super cool! Please guys try the scarf trend out, believe it or not it will really make you stand out from rest of the guys.

I suppose I have pretty much covered all the basics out here for all you guys. These must-haves might already be there hidden in your closet or maybe you might have to invest in a few things, but trust me guys it will totally be worth it!
