Let's think Silver.

Hey friends , hope your week is going great! Cant believe we are almost halfway through September. The festive season is almost around the corner and we have already started to plan for the upcoming festivals, weddings, parties and brunches. Its like a mammoth task for all of us, especially all my girl friends out there, right girls?!

This time I have got a solution for all the girls planning for all the events lined up and also for the boys who want to gift something special to their girls! Me and my sister  Sukhmani who is also my co partner in my company "GUMANI",  a fabulous stylist and an aspiring filmmaker have curated this post.

Our major stuck-up for all of us is what should I wear?? whether its a wedding or a day out with girls or maybe a party night , oh how can I forget packing for a Holiday. This question is always left unanswered. But not anymore, this time its all about how to stand out in those usual styles we adorn at various events. Inspired by the idea of teaming up Silver Jewelry with almost everything from the film "BAAR BAAR DEKHO", we have pulled out 5 major events we always face issues dressing up for and how all you girls out there can turn heads this time wherever you go.

Packing for a Beach holiday this time and thinking , how to revamp your old t-shirts and outfits?? We have a solution , a simple old t-shirt knotted with any of your shorts and try investing in boho inspired capes available almost everywhere be it online , in your favorite stores or on the streets. The cape will automatically lift the whole look up! Team up your look with some tribal silver oxidized Jewelry like a necklace and some unconventional pieces like an arm band or anklets. Top knot and bare make-up is good to go to make your holiday a picture perfect memory this time.

Whenever we have a date we always tend to incline towards that perfect dress that shall make us look a few inches leaner and much prettier. Dresses are always special on a date, but aren't we like bored of wearing that simple sheath or skater dress. Be it a lunch date or a night date with our partners, we always want to make that little extra effort to get a few compliments but eventually that never happens. The solution is wear a simple dress, and accessorize it with some elegant silver jewelry pieces which will work wonders for your next date.

Its thursday and we already start making plans for Friday and Saturday nights, we love partying hard after working hard all week. Oops but the question again , I want to wear something sexy tomorrow night and look the best but how??? Ditch your boring done to death Chokers or those gold hoops and team your favorite black outfit with a silver choker, and all the heads will be turning towards you next time!

A casual day out with girls, we love to be in our favorite denim shorts, super comfy and trendy! Paired it with the basics Off-shoulder top or a classic white tee and Camouflage Parka. I love wearing bright colored flip flops and my sister loves sneakers. We both added on silver Jhumkas, hoops or rings for the perfect Contemporary boho vibe.

Last but not the least , in India festivals and weddings are in abundance. With the festivals like Navratri and Diwali and Wedding season just around the corner we always don't want to splurge on new outfits , so then the question is how to look unique in that same old Outfit???? Sukhmani paired the sari from mom's closet with a black crop top instead of a regular conventional blouse and I have worn separates like a lace crop top , fuchsia pink cullotes and my favorite Payal Singhal dupatta. We ditched the heavy gold and kundan jewelry and paired it with some unique silver jewelry to leave a mark for the next wedding or a diwali party we attend.

You don't have to burn big holes in your pocket to buy these unique pieces for all my Mumbai readers you can either shop from Colaba which is literally heaven for Silver Junk Jewelry or those little or all the street shops in almost all the cities and towns or you want to splurge in some unique pieces you can head to Amrapali which has some stunning vintage silver jewelry or designer Ritika Bharwani who specializes in silver jewelry. So all you boys out there remember what you can gift your girls next time.
Hope you'll will try pairing silver jewelry with the outfits this season and you can email me your looks so I can share it on my blog next time.
